Program Description
Program Overview
This is a featured major of civil engineering, and it is a traditional professional area of BJTU. This major become a special major in the student enrollment to accommodate fast development ofrailway industry in 2005, and it was accepted into “Outstanding Engineers Training Plan” of Ministry of Education in 2010. Graduates can grasp professional knowledge and key technology in the area of rail traffic construction with good training for engineers, and they will be senior engineering technicians for planning, design, construction and management of railway and urban rail traffic.
Courses Includes
Major Fundamental Courses: Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Geology, Engineering Surveying, Fundamentals of Engineering Drawing, Civil Engineering Material, Structural Mechanics, Soil Mechanics, Principles of Concrete Structure Design etc.
Major Courses: Planning & Design of Railway Line, Railway Engineering, Underground Engineering, Bridge Engineering, Building Structure, Subgrade Engineering, Pavement Engineering, Railway Station, Construction and Test Technology for Highway and Railway Engineering, Rail Engineering Construction Organization Design etc.

Bank statement under the student’s name is preferred. If parents or other person is financing student’s study, a bank statement of this financial sponsor and a letter from sponsor stating he/she will sponsor the student’s all cost should be provided

4. Physical examination record for foreigner
5. High school graduate certificate
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
6. High school academic transcript
Academic transcript in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
7. Passport photo
Your recent photo with white background and minimum size 640 × 480 pixels, or eight pieces of printed copies with size 30 by 40 mm.
8. Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included

For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit.
